Zhongren Village
The original name of Zhongren Village is Zhongyuan Village. The reason it changed the village name to Jhong-Ren Village, the meaning of loyal, mourning and kindheartedness, in 1968 may be because Zhongyuan, which sounds like the name of the Chinese Ghost Festival in July of the lunar calendar,  is an indecent word. The village is situated in the Southeast corner of the area, near the downtown with Dongning Village on its north side, Jiannan Village on its west side, Zhenshang Village on its south side and Ming'an Village on the Northeast side and includes the following tribes: the Shi Jia, Shiyi Jia, Hou Dian Tsai, and the Niu Mo Nei. The village was established in 1946 with the administrative region largely from the South of Sinsheng Rd., the east of Jhongshan Rd., the North of Pingden Rd. to the east of the boundary of Xigang Sigang and Houyi. The main roads are Yan Ping Rd. (provincial Highway 19), Jhongshan Rd., Jhongren St., Shinyi Rd., Sinsheng Rd., Xingzhong St., Jianzhong St., Boai Rd., and Pingden St. The educational institution in the region is the Christian Church-affiliated kindergarten. Religious sites include Jiachi Temple, Lei Ming Temple, Nantien Temple, Shengdi Temple, Yu Huang Temple, Bao-En Temple, and the Christian Church, and art groups include the Amateur Music Taiwanese Opera.

Old Well Long Hou Sheng (Shengdi Temple)
The old well in the front of Shengdi Temple has a history of over 100 years. According to the elders, in the early days, when Jiali District had a water shortage, to offer residents drinking water, 7 wells were dug centered on Jin Tang Temple, and then spread outward. The well in the front of Shengdi Temple is one of them. Its water has remained clean over the years so it is still used now.
