Dongning Village
We think the name of village is named after its Dongning temple, located in its downtown. Liu'an Village is to its north, Anxi Village is to the west, Zhongren Village is to the south and Min'an Village is to the east, and it includes the two tribes of the Shijiao and Lioujiao. The village was established in 1946 with the administrative region being largely from the south of Jinxue Rd., the east of Jhongshan Rd., the north of Sinsheng Rd. to the west of Jing Cheng Ranch. The main highways are Provincial Highway 19 to Syuejia and Sigang, Provincial Highway 176 to Matou with Yan Ping Rd., Jinxue Rd., Wenhua Rd., Heping St. and Yimin St. Amongst those, Sinsheng Rd. is the traffic hub because the Tainan Bus runs there. There is a Dongning Temple for the residents to worship God. Other than that, the post office, power company, Taiwan Water Corporation, Taiwan Cooperative Bank, and Zhongshan Market are all in this area as well.
