Yingshi Village
Called Shang Ying in the Koxinga period, this is where the Cheng’s garrison troops located. The meaning of the word “Shang” in Taiwanese is peak(Chinese is "Ding"), so we called the place Ying Ding and readjusted it to become Yingding Village in 1946. The crops the village mainly cultivates are sugarcane, corn, sorghum, rice, carrot, etc. The residents in Yingding Village are mostly of the Zhuang Family. There are two temples, Jiafu and Sun Fu General Temple in Yingding Village, and among them, Jiafu Temple is the major religious symbol. It has existed for 280 years, worships Guan Yin, and has good daily attendance. There is the Yingding Community in Yingding Village, constructed by both Jiafu Village and Yingding residents, including Nan Hai Park, and the recreation area has a classic water castle. Moreover, two new landscapes, “Wuzhi Mountain” and “Long Wang(the meaning of Dragon King) Worshipping Gua Yin” have completed construction and are ready for people to come and enjoy them. Due to its elegant and comfortable environment, the community has received the excellence award for landscape treatment.
