Wennei Village
Long'an Village is situated in the southwest part of Jiali District, having the original name of Wenziliao, Lintounei and Wei Tu Tou. Wenzi is a reservoir or fish pond, so we think there may have been a fish pond and watering place, indicating that there may have been a Dragon(the sound of Chinese is "long") hidden somewhere, thus it got its name, Long'an Village. However, it remains unknown, or because the dragon is a mascot, and having “dragon” and having “safe”(the sound of Chinese is "an") in the region, it got its name, Longan Village.
The village includes three tribes, the Wenziliao, Lintounei and Wei Tu Tou, and there is Tongsing and Jiannan Villages to the north, Hanliao Village to the west, Cigu District to the west and Sigang District to the east. Though Long'an Village belongs to Jiali District, it has a better relationship with Ciqu District because it is situated on the edge of Jiali District and close to Cigu District.
The common crops here are rice, sugar cane and corns in Wei Tu Tou, and now in coordination with Hanliao Village, it sells burdock tea and oriental melon. Regarding the educational institutes and temples in the area, there are Wen Nei Elementary School, Yong Chang Temple, Hou Der Temple and Wan-shan Temple. The beautiful big banyan in the front of Hou Der Temple in Weitutou is not only an ideal spot for sightseeing but also for residents to come chat and relax under the tree; it’s a typical country scene.
As for folk art, there are Song-Jiang Jhen Battle Array in Hou Der Temple and Golden Lion Parade in the Yong Chang Temple, worth watching it.

Yong Chang Temple is the religious center of both Wennei and Hanliao Villages, worshipping Chih Fu Qian Suì, the idol that ancients called upon to give a blessing when they came to Taiwan to open up the land. The Gold-lion Battle is the famous array in the Sigang Incense Ceremony.

Wennei Village
There used to be a saltwater fish pond and with a hole to catch aquatic animals like “clams(the sound of Chinese is "hao"),” etc., so the village was named “Hanliao.” The Hanliao readjusted and became a village in 1946. It is situated on the southwest side of Jiali District, with Tongsing and Long'an Village to the east and Cigu District in the West. It has two main highways, South 34 and 36, and they both go to Cigu Village.
Hanliao Village is a simple and honest village. Other than a few residents running freshwater fish culture farming, most are farmers. Apart from the traditional crops of rice, sugarcane and corn, it now develops the quality agriculture like oriental melon and so on. It also coordinates with Min'an Village to produce burdock, not only for domestic sales but also for export to Japan, and it has become a new agricultural specialty in Hanliao Village.
Community in Hanliao Village consists of an activity center for resident use. The Cider and Fuan Temples are the religious and humanities center for Hanliao residents.

Though Wenzinei is on the waterfront, there is a belt area of Lintou trees to protect and keep the sand from attacking the Wenzinei in Long'an and Hanliao Village. So we regard it as a place with Earth Spirits and Dragon Knots. In the early years, when there was a shortage of resources among the people, people used the dried leaves of the lintou tree as fuel, and its fibrous root as rope to thread through the gills of fish. The leaves can also be used to make all kinds of children’s toys. The seed of the lintou tree can be used as medicine to heal diseases. As a result, the lintou tree was very important to the residents at that time for its multi-functional uses.

Wennei Village
Tongsing Village is named after Tongsing Temple. The temple is located in the southwest of Jiali District, with Jiannan Village to the northeast, Long'an Village to the southeast and Hanliao Village to the southwest, and Cigu District as the western boundary.
Most Tongsing residents are farmers and from the Huang family. Jiali district produces high quality oriental melon. There are three hectares of land cultivating cherry tomatoes that have thick skin and tender pulp, taste good, and have a sweetness of 8.0, being the sweetest and firmest cherry tomatoes in Taiwan. Rice, sugarcane and corn are cultivated in the area as well.
In the region, there is the Tongsing Elementary School as the educational institute, Tongsing Temple, Gangxing Temple, Sanshen Temple as the temples, and Zhou Bei Ke Pu Jie, located on the side of the Shiehyuliting West Road, as the historical site. Song-Jiang Jhen Battle Array in the Tongxing Village and History of Princess Taiping in the Gangxing Temple are the folk arts, and Lo Wu Zhou Yaun Palm Puppet Troupe and Chun Wu Zhou Palm Puppet Troupe are the art groups.

Tongsing Elementary School was founded in 1968 and has a grand school gate. Walking between the coconut trees on both sides of the campus gives people the feeling of walking on a broad and open road. The old banyan on the right hand side of the campus is rich in leaves and offers shade from trees, and it represents the school spirit of taking a hundred years to bring up a generation of good men.

Tongsing Temple is the religious center of Tongsing residents. The temple was mainly built of cypress and had a classic appearance, outstanding and colorful fragmented ceramics and a magnanimous archway. Through the couplets on the archway and pillars, people can realize the residents here pay attention to ethics and remember their ancestors.
